Dagenham Green will deliver more than 3,500 homes, of which 50% will be affordable and 360 will be build-to-rent. The design also includes a secondary school, up to 4,400 sqm of retail, community and leisure spaces, 5,000 sqm of workspaces to attract businesses and jobs to the area, and a five-acre public park.

Working closely with the local community, Barking and Dagenham Council, BeFirst and City Hall, the landscape-led masterplan will transform the disused Ford Factory car plant into a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood that complements the wider regeneration in the borough and creates new connections for local people and businesses while building upon the existing heritage of the site.

New home typologies, sizes and tenures will cater for different lifestyles and families to create a truly intergenerational neighbourhood. All homes will have access to high-quality green spaces to create a community where “everyone lives by the green”.

With a focus on sustainable placemaking, a new five-acre urban park will provide a 'natural meeting point' for the wider community where people will reconnect with nature, exercise, play and relax. The project is set to achieve a minimum 54% biodiversity net gain.

A diagonal route, will offer a direct cycle and pedestrian link between the Station and New Road, improving connectivity and transforming an old vehicle industrial site into a pedestrian and cycle-friendly neighbourhood.
