Oak Priory is the second of three schemes to be delivered as part of the Stoke-on-Trent Extra Care PFI project. Comprising 175 two-bed extra care apartments, the scheme is located in the centre of a large residential neighbourhood. The architecture adopts a civic feel, encouraging residents, as well as the wider community, to make full use of the facilities on offer and engender a deep sense of pride and ownership.

Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, Oak Priory features vibrant communal spaces clustered around a three storey atrium, flooded with natural light. Set within a series of beautiful landscaped gardens, the design creates two distinct, albeit connected buildings. Fusing traditional form with contemporary materials, including brick facades, generous cantilevered balconies and zinc detailing, the scheme is rich and varied in detail.

"The development provides high quality accommodation with security and support if needed, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve." Councillor Melanie Baddeley, ward member for Abbey Hulton and Townsend.
