Development Consultancy team at PRP wins second housing project with London Borough of Tower Hamlets

PRP's Development Consultancy team is pleased to have secured the Employers Agent role for a project at Heylyn Square, Bow E3.

The 100% affordable housing scheme, for 32 new homes and a retail area, is the second Employers Agents appointment PRP's Development Consultancy has won for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in 12 months.

The project includes the demolition of existing retail units at Heylyn Square and the reprovision of a new shop unit at ground floor level with new one, two, three and four bedroomed flats above in an eight storey building.

The development includes wheelchair access homes and an attractive stepped balcony design which gives each flat its own private south facing amenity space.

The scope of works awarded include Employers Agent, Health & Safety Advisor (CDM) and Clerk of Works Services. Construction work is due to start on site in September 2021.

PRP Associate Director, Steven Philips said: "We are delighted to have won this second project with Tower Hamlets. We are currently working with them on their scheme at St Pauls Way and so this new appointment is a great opportunity to continue our strong working relationship with the Council. We are looking forward to procuring a Contractor and progressing with the delivery of this important affordable housing project for the local community."

PRP's Development Consultancy team was awarded the Employers Agent Services early in 2020 for a new mixed use scheme following the demolition of St Paul’s Medical Centre.
