Resolution to grant planning permission has been awarded for Byron Quarter (Phase 1), another step in Harrow’s wider development plan. Brought forward by Wates and London Borough of Harrow as JV Development Partners, the scheme is designed by PRP as Lead Architect working in collaboration with BDP on landscape design.

The 149 new homes will include 71 three-bedroom houses and 78 apartments. Catering for a balanced community, the high-quality housing is designed to accommodate a variety of lifestyles, all centred around landscaped streets and open spaces. The scheme prioritises a vibrant and sustainable neighbourhood, ensuring homes benefit from views of green spaces and direct access to play areas.

Alexandra Andone, Director at PRP, said: “We are delighted to work with the JV Partners to create a new residential development that prioritises social cohesion and sustainable living. The project aims to provide comfortable homes and inclusive open spaces, where people of all ages can come together. From the outset, the design team focused on ensuring that residents enjoy not only modern living spaces, but also a strong sense of community.”

Residents will enjoy a thoughtfully designed environment featuring treelined streets, landscaped gardens, play spaces, cycling links and pedestrian-friendly pathways. The development creates a safe and connected setting for all, while celebrating the local character, and addressing the housing needs of the surrounding area.
